Dear VWCS School Community,

Van Wert City Schools is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. We want to inform you that we have recently received information that 1 student at Van Wert High School and 1 district staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, February 4th, 2021.

We are working closely with the Van Wert County Health Department and anyone identified as a close contact has been notified by the health department or VWHS/VWCS as a part of our COVID-19 investigation.  If you were not contacted, your child has not been in close contact with the student or staff members.  Cleaning and disinfecting of the exposed area has been completed.
