SCHOLARSHIP

The Wright State University 2019-2020 Academic Performance Scholarship deadline

is February 15th . Also, to qualify to be directly admitted into the Nursing Program, students have to be admitted by February 15th

THE FORT WAYNE CHILDREN’S ZOO

Teens for Nature Volunteer and Leadership Program is looking for volunteers ages 13-17. Students can access the application at http://kidszoo.org/support-the-zoo/teen-volunteers

This is a competitive application process and students are encouraged to apply before Feb. 28th deadline

 

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS

Students and parents interested in  College Credit Plus courses for the ‘19-’20 school year

should plan to attend a meeting February 13th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.in the Lecture Hall

Several colleges and universities will be in attendance

 

OPTIMIST CLUB OF VAN WERT ORATORICAL CONTEST

Sunday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

Students are asked to prepare a 4-5 minute speech on the topic “Is There a Fine Line Between Optimism and Reality?” 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners will receive prizes. Applications available in English classrooms or student services. Deadline Feb. 25th

 

OPTIMIST CLUB ESSAY CONTEST

Deadline February 15th

700-800 word essay on “When All the World’s Problems are Solved, is Optimism Still Necessary” Prizes of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded and top two winners will advance to additional competitions. Applications are in your English classrooms or student services

Students are reminded to take their admission ticket, photo id, approved calculator, and No. 2 pencils. Students should arrive at the school where they are testing before 7:45 a.m.
