VWHS NHS Students Earn Bronze Pennant

2020-2021 National Honor Society students with items collected to donate to the Pregnancy Life Center

VWHS National Honor Society students with a table full of items collected during their spring drive that benefited the Pregnancy Life Center. 

 

Van Wert High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) students recently donated $150 to Van Wert’s Haven of Hope and $150 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, earning them the Bronze Champions donation status for Hero Squad.

The four pillars of NHS include leadership, character, scholarship, and service. It is a goal of NHS to donate $300 annually to a charitable organization of the students’ choice. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been a recipient for several years, with funds directly benefiting blood cancer research and patient support services. However, this year students also wanted to give to a local cause and chose Haven of Hope. NHS also hosted a spring drive to collect items to donate to the Pregnancy Life Center.
