VANS CUSTOM CULTURE CONTEST

VWHS has designed two shoes that made it to the top 50 out of 500 schools.  Now we need your help voting on the winning shoe design so we can win $75,000 for our art program. If we win, VANS will host a BBQ and musical concert for the entire high school. You can vote every day on each of your devices until May 3rd at https://customculture.vans.com/

 

SENIORS

Are you interested in being a Commencement Speaker? If so, sign up in the student services office by Friday, May 3rd. Up to 3, but not necessarily 3, will be selected by the Faculty Committee on Awards to represent their class during graduation on Sunday, May 26th

 

COLLEGE VISITS

Students there are no college visits in May unless approved by Mr. Bowen or Mrs. Hanneman

Please plan accordingly

The June ACT will be given June 8th. Students can register at ACT.org before the deadline

AMERICAN HEART CHALLENGE

This is a contest for students to learn about the risk factors associated with nicotine use, in any form, and to take a personal stand in creating a healthy, tobacco-free generation

1st place -$1,500      2nd place - $1,000 Deadline is May 10th

SUMMER SCHOOL GOVERNMENT

May 30th - July 1st and July 15th - 17th

Cost:  $100

Acceptance is on a “First Come, First Served” basis and is limited to the first 24 students
