Van Wert Volleyball falls to St. Mary's

Van Wert Varsity Volleyball Team

 In Thursday night volleyball action, Crestview beat Spencerville and both Lincolnview and Van Wert fell to conference opponents.

CONVOY — Crestview moved to 2-0 in conference play with a three-set victory over Spencerville on Thursday night.

Final scores for all sets were 25-7, 25-11 and 25-4.

Adelyn Figley and Myia Etzler were the Lady Knights leading hitters with six kills a piece. Cali Gregory added 17 assists and four kills.

Ellie Kline aced 12 serves and contributed a team-high eight digs in the win.

The Lady Knights now have an overall record of 4-5. They'll return to action on Saturday at Kalida.

LEIPSIC — Lincolnview dropped their first NWC game of the season and their second game of the week with a three-set loss to Leipsic on Thursday night.

Final scores for all sets were 11-25, 19-25 and 20-25.

Carsyn Looser and Beth Hughes both finished with five kills to lead the Lancer hitters.

Breck Evans assisted on 18 balls and Grace Brickner compiled nine digs.

Lincolnview is now 7-2 (0-1 NWC) on the season. Their next game is on Saturday at Shawnee.

ST MARYS — Van Wert fell in three sets to conference rival St. Marys on Thursday night.

Final scores for all sets were 10-25, 17-25 and 12-25.

The Lady Cougars are now 0-11 on the season and 0-4 in the WBL. They'll return to the court on Monday at home against Wayne Trace.
